Who Are We and Why Are We Here
Yes-the eternal question asked by humans everywhere. Why? Why? Why? And the answer is…I have no idea. One thing I have learned though, is how important it is to open oneself up to the possibilities. Give yourself permission to dream, to be who *you* would like to be.
One of my recent quotes in my forum profile was “To see the possible, we must first see the impossible.” I read that on a print at a craft store. Sadly though, there are many who are of closed mind, or wrapped in negativity, and being able to see the impossible just isn’t–possible. They have mired themselves down so deeply in “can’t” and “won’t” and “don’t” that they fail to see the new world they can create each and every day when they awake.
Instead of dreading each day, look upon it as a fresh canvas with just a hint of what yesterday’s work was. I have said elsewhere that the Universe has a roadmap for each of us-unfortunately the signage sometimes leave alot to be desired. I’m sure that many of us – myself included – sometimes feel like we are stumbling around in the dark trying to find the flashlight – when all we need to do is be still and allow the Light to appear.
Stop struggling and embrace who you are. What you think you know about yourself may not be who you really are at all. Open yourself to what is out there in the world-in the Universe. Give yourself permission to make mistakes, and look upon them as lessons. Lessons that could mean you missed the road sign a few miles back and simply took a wrong turn. Go back and try again, but this time, try it with a different vision of where you are going.
When you think the whole world is against you, examine why you think that. What are you putting out into the Univers that makes you perceive it as being so hostile? The adage is true-what you put out into the Universe, so it will return to you. If you are putting out negativity, hate and anger, the Universe will slap it right back at you. Karma has a way of doing that. You have been given Free Will-and only you are responsible for the choices you make. Not your peers, not your teachers, not your parents. You. Yes, you can argue that you “have” to do this chore, you “have” to do that assignment-of course you do, you are being taught responsibility-a very important skill to have if you wish to be able to survive in this great, wonderous World.
We are all the authors and artists of our own worlds. When our lives stagnate, when we seem to be getting nowhere, it is because we have stopped listening to the Universe. There is a vast plane of “being” out there. How far you venture is up to you. What you create in your life is up to you-only you will know if what you are doing feels right. If what you are doing doesn’t feel right, doesn’t look right, and doesn’t effect any advancement in your life, then it probably isn’t right.
Become your own visionary. See where you want to be, take every opportunity you can to get there. Go through every door that opens for you. Some doors will take you down better hallways than others, but the only way you will find out is by stepping through the threshold. Every door you leave closed is a lost opportunity, a missing piece of the puzzle. Don’t look back down the pathway of your life years from now to see all of the closed doors and wish that you’d had the courage to open them. Turn your life into a tome of well-formed words, illustrated in rich colour. The Universe is yours-reach out and leave your mark on it.
