Free To Good Home
Yes, I am still trying to give the nasty infectious bugz away. They’ve overstayed their welcome by about a week. Maybe someone at the Gaming Conference tomorrow will gladly take them home–or maybe I’ll just have to covertly send them off to a new home. I know…maybe Microsoft will put them in the virus vault. They’d like it there, they could compare notes with all the other nasty viral denizens already in the vault.
I’m looking forward to the Conference tomorrow; while I’m not a gamer, I’m sure there will be loads of good information available for our staff members who are working towards careers in the Gaming Sector. However I feel that the most important part of attending the conference will be the contacts I’ll be able to make within the industry. The only real problem I can see is maintaining some level of energy, which the nasty infectious bugz are so good at sapping.
Then there is the real fun of crossing the border into the USA. I sometimes wonder where they get the border guards from. Some are really nice people, but others–well, it’s like they don’t want anyone entering the USA at all, and they make the border experience as tense as possible. Not to mention making the lineup to cross the border longer and slower than it needs to be. Thanks to them, I will probably need to leave the house two hours before I really should have to, just to make sure I get across the border with ample time to get down to Redmond. At least I know coming home will be a breeze. Of course it also helps knowing most of the Canadian border guards at our port. Ah well, notwithstanding the American border experience and the nasty infectious bugz, I’m sure it’ll be a great day and I’ll have lots to report on once I return.
